Anyone ever fitted 245 section tyres? Any problems?

(The Vitesse is coming along well, the interior went back in on Sunday, but not the dash. Done the loom to the front, will need a weekend to put all the dash and bonnet loom back in)

I have 245 in the rear and they seem pretty much maximum you can fit without touching anything or modifying the arch "lip" my rims arent vitesse ones though. To vitesse rims? No fooking way..

Nah I have a set (well, 2 sets in fact) of 16 inch Compomotive split rims - one 7 inch wide, the other 8.5. Was thinking of 245/45/16's at the rear at least and possibly even the front. (If not then 225/50/16).

I have exactly those size tyres... Should work just fine if your rim offsets are correct. My compomotives are 2 piece design also...

If you have to choose front tyres... dont go wider than 225.
225/50 R16 tyres are a bit too "big" so one should use something like 215/50 R16 tyres for better clearance
I have 225/50 R16 front and 245/45 R16 to rear.

Id say stick with 225 front, 245 rear mate.

I had major rubbing issues with mine, it gets messy trying to fit proper big tyres Laughing

It took alot of curing for mine to be ok with big uns
