Am getting another alternator tomorrow atthe Spares Day, as I'm pretty certain mine is knackered. But I'm just a tad worried about the connectors on the back of it!
There are two studs on the alternator, with the three wires ending in ring terminals & held on the studs with nuts. Is this normal for a Vitesse alternator? Or should it have the terminal block on the wires like most other alternators I've seen??

I think that's normal Certainly all the later Rovers use ring terminals on studs secured with nuts. If I'm with the car tomorrow I'll have closer look...

Oh that's ok then! I think I need another one though, the alternator on my car doesn't seem to be charging the battery....
Will be on the lookout tomorrow....
