Is that British Racing Green? If so, lovely, a colour I believe Rover should have offered as a factory colour, suits the SD1 very well.

Yes I agree about the mods, but what a beast of a car, 5.0 V8....

Can easily be returned to standard spec if desired,

Me? I'd have the TP Vitesse body parts, and I see Vitesse alloys with the spokes done in gold....

awesome!
that is only good for the track at the moment, so that splitter would need taking off. i've just got rid of mine, which was lower than a vitesse with the chin spoiler, and that got ripped off, so he's got no chance!!
aside from that, it's a beautiful car, and 4500 isn't that bad when you look at the condition and spec. still four times what i can afford to pay for an sd1 though! if you had a spare five grand rolling round you could be tempted though eh....
i think the darker colours like green and black suit the sd1 better, especially the series 2 with the chrome headlight trim.
anybody here going to put an offer in?......

If it was black I'd have it - it'd be far cheaper than all the body work and the spraying on mine!!

i always said i'd never buy a black car because of the problem of keeping it clean. then the first sd1 i bought was black, i just fell in love with the car. promised never to buy another black car.
then the fourth sd1 i bought was black, the one in the avatar, awful paintwork, wouldn't stay clean and didn't polish well at all. promised never to buy another black car.
i'm just buying my fifth sd1, yes, you guessed it, black.
and the moral of the story? i never learn......
mind you, that dark green won't stay clean any longer than black.
silverleaf is best!!

Back to the car, does that splitter give any improvement in downforce?I hardly think not unless he had a wind tunnel handy. But despite gimmicks, i bet the 5.0 has a bit more torque, than the standard 3.5.Im still waiting to see has someone put a chevy or ford block in an SD1.Then supercharged or turbocharged it.Now that would be an achievement.

I suppose he didnt have a QUAIFE torsen in the back? The stock differential on side with the quaife makes the stock one look weak and rubbish.

Keep them standard! If you want to modify, buy a modern car.

Blaah... modern cars are absolutely no fun. Plus 95% of them are so unpersonal cars... heres few good examples. BMW, Mercedes, VAG(ina) group products, Volvo, Renault, Ford etc... their all just so plain stupid. When you see one on the road... what comes into your mind. Let me guess... nothing? Theres just so damn much of them that it aint even funny.. Older cars and products of more rare car companies (MG Rover cars are quite rare here) attract more attention and make people wonder (same as rare models from car companies... like Ford Cougar). Jaguars have also become so usual here now that every nigro can afford one so I dont see them special anymore either!
