hi does the ecu normly have an empty plug that looks like a pc plug

The normal Rover SD1 Efi ECU looks like this with no other connections

mine has an extra plug on one side will have to find out who modded it
can some one tell me did 1982 modles normaly have injection and where and how the ecu should mount as mines sitting in the foot well with no vissible location for mounting

A totally uneducated guess here....perhaps it's a modified performance ECU that can be fine tuned via a laptop?

Read it in a magazine once....I think Confused

Yea maybe somebody put some aftermarket ecu internals in it... such as megasquirt?

the original ecu cradle has been removed for convenience of making adjustments and swapping ecu's.

i dished mine likewise for the same reasons.

it'll come to no harm providing it does not get wet fron a screen leak so wrap it up well and make sure its padded above and below.

I've seen some modified Lucas 4CU ECUs with an external
potentiometer on a flying lead, which plugs into the ECU.
Would allow for economy/performance adjustments on the
go.
