Sorted the trailing arms today, found out that there were washers on the drivers side only, very odd! Had to get the grinder out & grind the washers off to make it fit properly. The passenger side was a different matter, found the remains of axle cups there, decided not to bother with axle cups for now, can't really afford them at the moment so will get some next month after the car is MOT'd, my old 2600 VDP never had any axle cups either & had no problems with the handling there....
Also the bolts holding the bracket on to the passenger side were almost buggered! Managed to get one out but the other was rounded off! Ended up hammering the bracket round to get at the bolt holding the arm in. All good now though!
