There is water in the gloveboxes, about 1/2 a cup of water.I think the windscreen seal has failed. It seams to have dried up and strech.Or the scuttle panel intake seal.Plus the rear passenger door seal is shot but i heard rimmers may have the codes wrong,is this true?. Could someone tell me whats probably wrong?

Thanks

That caviation between cabin and enginebay might be rusted so it has gotten all holy. Check that out maybe? Any traces of water anywhere? You could also try getting somebody spraying the car with waterhose and trying to look where the water is coming from.

Water in the glove boxes is a classic SD1 screen sealing problem.

I prevent this by sealing with black screen sealant in the channels both sides of the chrome window trim. All around, both sides. Its also a very neeat finish.

This will only be 100% successful if the channels are free from dirt and moisture which can make things difficult outdoors in a temperate climate.

To overcome this I have any new screen at the time of installation, but I use only small private windscreen fitter who himself is a classic car enthusiast.

Consult your friendly local windscreen fitter for the correct sealant if you choose to do it yourself.

I had that problem with my old 2600 VDP, but only the driver's side glovebox would fill up! Also if it rained heavily while I was driving, the top corner of the headlining by my head would fill with water & drip onto my leg!
Aah British cars.......
