Well done prices seem to vary although £40 is usually a minimum . |

Yup, I'm pleased. I have seen them reach £80, which is just nuts.
In a similar vein, does anyone have a definitive list of the 1/25 Polistil models that were available. I know I have yet to source the blue/beige 3500, and I'm sure they do a police spec, but I do already have a "2600" with separate "rally" decal sheet, which I've not seen since. _________________ 1985 Vitesse SP |

Perhaps Vanguards could be persuaded to do a mk1? As they (Vanguards
or Corgi or whoever they are) seem to rip off Club committee members'
cars, perhaps the club could approach them?? |

Just preordered mine . |
Hey Gillberry did you ever get receipt of your models?
I clicked on the link to find this model no longer available to order, which is a crying shame, because it is a perfect replica of my own car (when I get my Vitesse alloys on...)

Sorry, I've misread the release thinking it was last July, and not next July.... silly me.
It's a shame they've stopped the orders for them
I wonder how many will be manufactured?
Has someone ordered one they don't REALLY want? lol

|
|
Hi all, I wrote an e-mail direct to Corgi/Vanguard asking them to consider restarting/continuing the Oporto Red Vanden Plas model, but it appears this livery and model use was not deemed sufficiently popular and due to internal tooling reasons, it was withdrawn....
This was their response.....
Dear Mr Davies
Unfortunately this model has been dropped from our range, hopefully the below statement will go some way to explain the reasons why.
2007 COLLECTOR RANGE RATIONALISATION – Supporting the Trade and the Consumer
Further to the recent merger of Corgi Classics, Master Replicas and Cards Inc, the new Corgi International business has taken the strategic decision to rationalise the Corgi Collector range. A significant number of products featured in the 2007 catalogue have been deferred (circa 150), the models retained (circa 400) being the most desirable in terms of livery and tooling. In addition we have reduced the production quantities of the remaining models to promote sell out at good prices and enhance the overall collectability of the Corgi brand.
This programme of work is designed to create a stronger more focused Corgi Collector category moving forward and to avoid residual product entering the market and affecting both product and brand value. _________________ Lifelong SD1 fan - 1983 Rover 3500 Vanden Plas |

You know the Vanguards Moonraker Blue Vitesse, reg B743 ORK?
I'm not sure if a B reg vitesse should have a deep chin spoiler, and anyway I don't like it. I want it to look more like my car.
I discovered that the deep chin spoiler is just a plastic thing, glued into the front foglight holes, and underneath is a nice painted Moonraker blue series 2 spoiler. woo. A few careful minutes with a tiny screwdriver and some tweezers and the car is now so much more stylish.
Thought I'd share, for those that don't mind customising their models. |

Yup, B-reg Vitesses can have deep-chip spoilers - I think it was a
1985 model-year change. B743ORK is a real SD1 which belonged to
an SD1 Club Committee member, I used to see it around Swindon
regularly, though it's been sold on now I believe. |
