I was watching Charlie Chans Who Am I ? Embarassed the other day and was sure I spotted a black series 2 driving into a big warehouse. I scoured the film after that but couldn't see it again.
It looked like it was filmed in South Africa so I guess it could have been there.

By far the most interesting is MOC229P in the New Avengers.
This is a pre-production car registered in April 1976 - 3 months
before public launch of the SD1. Where is it now (doesn't
survive, according to DVLA website).

Nope, MOC229P was genuine - check the DVLA.

The car was seemingly reused in early The Professionals
episodes as MOO229R - this is a fake plate.

The Rita Sue and Bob too car had series 1 seats fitted to the front I believe, because one of the scenes called for Bob to demonstrate the reclining seat mechanism in order to "'ave a jump" with one of the girls. Can't imaging it would have been as sucessful if he'd had to slowly wind it to a recline Wink

I'm pretty sure this car was on ebay a couple of years ago, 3.5 S2, same colour with brown seats in the front, when the rest was light, it had no front headrests too, I had long forgot about Rita Sue and Bob to when that was for sale, it was even in West Yorkshire, I belive it was out of Tax and Test and needed work so it could have been bought for the engine Shocked

I remember the show, she had a Escort XR3 Cabriolet I think? Crap show though, but in the 80s we thought it was ace! Very Happy
