Now definatly selling my SD1, Moonraker Blue, was an origional Twin Plenum car still has front and rear TP spoilers, now has a nice 3.5 TVR 350i engine with a recent edlebrock 500 on performer manifold, k'n N deep air filter, Rimmer brothers SS sports exhaust, very good shell now! but 1 rear door still rusty in corner (havnt got round to fixing it yet..but can if required)

Just had brand new rear arches and boot floor (done properly), moto-lita wheel, new dizzy /coil/plugs/full service.

Good solid reliable car that needs some minor cosmetic attention to make smart as the paint has seen better days, the drivers seat has some small ripps and the headlining needs recovering, been stored in my workshop sheilded from all the rain and crap so is sound underneath...It has new composite head gaskets and valley gasket when the engine had a top end overhaul and a decoke about 18 months ago,

Sounds like thunder and goes like stink to...

Car will had 12 months ticket once i work out how to get the horn working again, it currently has about 3 months ticket and 4 months tax.

I am only selling due to a major change in circumstances and 2 new cars coming into my life very recently one being a Newport Pagnell product (ooh get me!) that really needs all my time and money...just too many cars really and this ones lucky to do 1000miles a year, i paid £950 for this car a couple of years ago and have spend about £500 on improvements a year ago and about £150 on all new ignition system last month... so should be good for some time yet

PM me if your interested and I'll mail you my phone number or it will be on the 'bay soon

£950

Sorry, it's me who owns it now. I think I spoke to you when I brought it in Feb. Not For Sale I'm afraid!
I've got a red Vitesse rolling shell if you are interested?

Roger. Very Happy

I hope you have changed back the twin plenum. Like WTF? Whatkind of dumbass changes electronic fuel injection to some stoneaged crap called carburator? No offence but thats as intelligent as hitting your leg with an axe and then asking why its hurting.

Makes my blood boil to see a twin plenum raped like that...

Unfortunately the original engine and twin plenum system had been replaced with a TVR engine and the Holley before I brought the car. With it being a genuine twin plenum it would have been nice if it had been original but then I wouldn't have been able to buy it for the price I paid. Would love to be able to get the original engine back one day if I can find it! However it makes all the right sounds with the Rimmers stainless sports system and outwardly looks like an original twin plenum and still has it's tank guard.

If you do get the original engine back in one day, I'll take the current engine off your hands Smile

Best thing you can do with any rover V8 engine is tie a rope round it and use it as a boat anchor, man they sound gorgeous but they just cant produce any decent power without stupid money spending on them...

I loved that car, and was so sad to see it go but it seems it has gone to a good home and that cheers me up no end..

Any update on the condition spec? I spent quite a lot of time and money undoing badly done work and rampant rust , but there was a lot of stuff left to do to make A1 wouldn't mind knowing how the old girl is?
