I've just aquired a pair of new wheelarch spats as fitted to the prototype Vitesses, I know they shouldn't really go on a Vanden Plas, but my car being a Y-Reg and now fitted with Efi alloys, I don't think they're too inappropriate and I think they'll look quite good...

If anyone has these fitted (I've seen some pics with them on) can you just let me know how I fix them to the car, do I have to drill some holes ~shudders~

Jay

On a similar subject, I retrofitted mud flaps to three of my cars including the TP vitesse.

The short term advantages are greatly outweighed by effect of rust.

All three cars suffered from early wheel arch deterioration because of trapped moisture and muck, DESPITE lashings of waxoyl used during fitting.

I suspect that retrofitting spats might have a similar effect due to trapped moisture etc.

Ask yourself the question why they were ONLY fitted to early Vitesses before being discontinued and do yourself a favour and sell them off.

I'm getting some wheelarch sapts for my Vitesse, want to cover up the welding done by a previous owner. It's all solid metalwork & will be properly rustproofed, so no worries about corrosion there.
Plus, the wheelarch spats look cool!
