Vauxhall's VXR8....

"This is what you get when you start with a blank canvas. And a mission statement to redefine world-class performance saloon design. The all-new Vauxhall VXR8. A thundering 417PS, 6.0 litre V8 motor rockets it to 60mph in just 4.9 seconds.* Monstrous disc brakes can stop it from the same speed in just 36 metres. And giant alloy wheels hide multi-link independent rear suspension controlled by the best in electronic active safety chassis control. Welcome to a totally new animal. The four-door muscle car. From Vauxhall."

All for a shade over £35,000.

One wonders, should the SD1 Vitesse have continued production......

or perhaps more along the lines of the now also deceased MG/Rover ZT/75 V8?

Big car, Big all-aluminum V8,Sporty looks,Rear wheel drive, Probably will not go around corners well, practical boot (or should that be trunk), solid rear axel.

only two doors though and American not British
Can't think of anything closer.
