Razz my wife and i were looking at what we call ourselves on this site and wonder "how did they get that name" so come on spill the beans...i am happy to go 1st, when i was at school i had curly hair-i didnt care much for hair brushes and hair cuts and as a result the name huggy aka huggy bear was bestowed upon me even though it was 1986 and starsky and hutch was in the 70's-sadly it has now all fallen out but the name stuck and is still used today by my friends Laughing Laughing

Not much imagination or thought went into mine....

Jay Dee are my initials and VDP is short for Vanden Plas Wink

It was JayDeeEssDeeOneVDP, but that was too long

Get called Tommo in work, and have a red Vitesse, so Tommosredone it was.
Only realised it looked like Tommo's 'redone' later, doh!

Traco - a name synonymous with making V8s go faster. The esteemed US tuning firm from the 60s/70s out of Culver City, California. Travers and Coon were the partners. The Traco Olds was a powerful engine based on the 215 Oldsmobile version of the BOP alloy motor (from which the 3.5 Rover engine was derived) and was taken out to 5 litres or less depending on the racing class.

Even BL used these engines in 1970 - the original Rover P6B works cars raced by Roy Pierpoint and the BL works team had Traco Olds 4.3 engines on quad webers and 364bhp. One ended up being raced in Oz and became a Traco- Olds- Repco 4.5 engined fuel injected beast with 400 bhp, now being restored in Sydney.

I use K 5 in various forms across forums. It basically comes from my calibra which was known everywhere as K5, this became mu username on Club Calibra's forums. The numberplate was K5 PNJ. The name just stuck and i have used it ever since.

When I joined here I was new to the internet and loath to give personal details to anyone,so I thought " well I drive a V8 (as opposed to a straight six, four pot or oil burner(diesel))" and V8driver was born.

For anyone who's interested my real name is Gareth.

APPARENTLY THATS WHAT THEY CALL POWER DRINKERS? (STAND TO BE CORRECTED BY ANY SD1ERS FROM OVER THE WATER, AS I'VE NO IDEA IF ITS TRUE OR NOT), BUT THE NAME STUCK
