|
|
I paid for an item on the 1st of this month and did not receive it untill today. I had to open up a dispute in order to finally get the item. Postage as wellwas excessive. Anyway i left negative feedback as i had been treated badly with absolutely no communication as to what was going on despite sending several e mails to the seller.
He has now has given me a retaliation negative feedback. E bay should not allow this sort of thing. I had a 100% rating and if you looked at my feedback you would see that i am an excellent buyer and now i have my first neg and very unjustly. If you look at his you will see the same old thing time after time. If someone's service is bad you should be able to say so without fear of this sort of thing.
Anyone else suffered this sort of thing with e bay?
BTW steer clear of this seller!

Sometime ago, I needed a reliable and relatively modern car and I was bidding on a lovely looking BMW 530i Touring (I know, I know, be gentle on me....) and the auction ran till the end and I won the item.
Keen to get my hands on the car I mailed him immediately to arrange payment and collection, but got no response till approx two weeks later where he said he had sold the car privately when the auction was still live, but had forgotten to end the item early on the auction.
I therefore left negative feedback on the basis of poor communication and timewasting which I thought was justified, but the he retaliated by giving me negative and called ME a TIMEWASTER..... eh? what?
I lodged a dispute with e-bay to have the negative removed, and it was removed on the condition I removed mine too.....(Compromised withdrawal I think they call it)
Justice? Non!!
I just put it down to experience now, I think the best way to assess someone's e-bay buying/selling trustworthiness is to study their past transactions and base your opinions on that, rather than just the odd negative feedback.... _________________ Lifelong SD1 fan - 1983 Rover 3500 Vanden Plas |

This chaps record for slow delivery and non communication is in his prior feedback.
With easter and weekends the elapsed time was about eleven wkg days.
His neg response to your neg was somewhat predictable.

There is one sneaky way to avoid it
iirc feedback can only be left up to 90 days after the item ended. Just leave yours on the 89th day |

Dont get me started on ebay, the one biggest failing with them is that its open to anyone! Lunatics murderes etc, and to be honest as a individual you are a very small cog in a huge wheel , Ive used ebays complaints dept in the past when one guy who I refused to sell a item to outside of ebay (but welcomed him to bid for it) lost it and started sending threatening and abusive messages. However their complains dept is all computerised and unless you follow there proceedure in a certain way then it just gets stuck and nothing is done
So from now on I ignore them, plus to be honest with the millions of pounds they make every year one discruntled punter is small fry, a bit like british gas (thats another rant!)
Way of the world unfortunatly, you cant take on the big boys and win! So act defensivly.
At the moment I am awaiting a declal I ordered 3 weeks ago which he claims must have been lost in the post twice! _________________ 1979 Rover SD1 V8-S

I don't believe that that has anything to do with it. He did not communicate with me at any point in the deal, despite me sending loads of e mails to ask where it is was. Funny that it got delivered the moment i lodged a complaint with e bay. Arrived the very next day! _________________ Drives a 4.6 300 BHP TP Vitesse! SD1 Club Member. It certainly is! The thing is though these sort of people are spoiling the buying process in e bay as it is getting to point where you start wonder after a few days if you are going to get something. Obviously feedback is not a trustworthy system to rely on anymore! _________________ Drives a 4.6 300 BHP TP Vitesse! SD1 Club Member. Car of the Month Dec 06, winner of Car of the year 2007! |

I ask why and he said "he has relisted it".Where's the justice in that? It's bullshit!

Is this a B-reg blue car which keeps popping up?

That was in the club mag and website for £4000! Seems a lot for
a car with unknown mileage and presumably no history - looks solid
enough though. |
