Hi all, I may have found the solution to my running woes.
After changing the inlet manifold gaskets and seals, she is running like a dog, now I've realised that the vacuum pipe from my cruise control unit has not yet been reconnected to the inlet manifold, hence I'm possibly loosing enough vacuum to cause poor running.
Trouble is, I can't remember where the confounded thing attaches to the inlet manifold.
Any of you lovely people with a carb-fed V8 with cruise control please take a peak under your bonnet and enlighten me as to where on the inlet manifold minefield it attaches and I'll be a happy bunny with a sweet running V8 again......
Don't know if it makes any difference, but I have Zenith Carbs, (1983 car)not SUs.
Thanks in advance x
Jay
