Would anyone know what size the front and rear speakers in a VDP would be?

I have just fitted a CD player, but think that the 20 year old speakers could do with renewing...

Also, how on earth do you get to the rear speakers. I did try, but it was cold and dark, and I am not overly technically compitent... I just LOVE my SD1s!

Thanks in advance!!!

ASHLEY

Atleast in my car are 4" at front and 4x6" in the back. Dont pinch the penny too much then.. Wink Because SD1 is worth it.

The rear speakers need the old pop rivets taken out of the plate the old speaker sits in and use self tapping screws to hold your new speakers in place .

Oh... The adapter part on my car was attached with screws and the 4" speaker sitting on the adapter plate is with rivets. I think a 4x6" fits into the hole. Not so sure about it but I measured it would fit.

The adapter plates for the rear speakers in my old 2600 VDP were fixed in with screws, not looked at the Vitesse yet. The speaker sizes are approx 4" or 10cm. Have got some 10cm Sony speakers in the front(which were a straight swap for the sh*te old speakers, but not bothered with the rears as I've got a pair of 6" x 9"s in the rear parcel shelf.
Also, I used new cables for all of the speakers, routed the same way as the main loom, as the original wiring goes through that crappy fader on the centre console, plus the sound quality is awful through the original cables......
