Anyone know the *correct* colour for the top-tint on a 1986
Vitesse?

It's time to replace the screen on my car as I've got a small
rust bubble at the base of the screen which isn't going to
get any better (what causes this? flex in the windscreen
panel??). Screen in it has no top-tint and is starting to
delaminate (it's not the original screen).

The top-tint should be a strip of a darker bronze IIRC.

Mine is blue at the moment but i am waiting for a new one. They said that they are now only available with a Bronze top tint.

Did you get the screen replaced? Was it bronze or blue top tint?? What did the screen
cost?

My Vitesse is still in the bodyshop, two months after it was delivered there! I can't
complain too much as they do a good job and fit between their usual work which is
insurance repairs.

It's not ready for pickup this weekend, which is the last weekend I can collect until
Christmas. So I've decided to get the screen replaced while it's still there, and get
the rust at the base of the screen fixed once and for all.

After them trying to tell me that the Chrome trim was not available! Laughing

It is a Bronze tint at the top. That is all that is available now! Shocked
