Hi,

I am after some suspension bump stops for my SD1, one of the current ones has disintegrated, and I need to reassemble, but Rimmers are on back-order!

These are the bits I need

Thats a good idea, just been looking into it...

Does anyone have any recommendations to ones I should fit?, can I fit any as long the bore size is OK?
Can't seem to find any for the SD1.

Am a bit new to this car restoration business, learning as I go along! (never heard of a 'bump-stop' until I discovered a pile of dust and teh remains of one when I took the spring strut apart.......)

I was in the same situation some months ago, and was unable to find a
new bump stop anywhere, including Rimmers.

Rimmers list the CRC1276 and a discontinued 'heavy duty' CRC5309.
The parts publication lists two other numbers, CRC2796 and CRC4759.
All but the CRC1276 are single-piece stops, i.e. only 2 per car, not the
4 required by CRC1276.

My late Vitesse had the single-piece stop per side (only one of which had
disintegrated). I was able to find one from a scrap car, this might be
your best bet.

Thanks for that,

I was thinking of replacing the units with one of those listed on this site:-

Should be excellent for the job. Just get measurements of yours spot on and you're away.
