Remember the Oily fumes smell that i had coming from the front of the car? Well this was one of a few problems all sorted with the replacement of the front Screen. I had some dented chrone trim where something fell onto the car from the garage roof, chips in the screen, a scratch from a wiper in the line of my vision, a crack where some silly cow overtook me on a newly surfaced road! (I overtook her again further on down the road! ) and a leak had started in the drivers footwell. I now have a Bronze tint with Bronze fade at the top and it is so nice to drive along without any of the mentioned problems. We
I went out last Sunday to Cromer on the North Norfolk Coast, with Ester in the car who had refused to get in anymore because of the smell!
The car behaved herself well giving us a lovely drive out to the coast and back.
I am now still going to fit the Stainless Oil catch tank that i bought and fit the breather to that and mount it towards the front of the car. I have also started buying some Blue Silicone Hosing and am slowly going through the Engine bay with that.
I forgot to say that the fitter told me that my Scrren was only sealed top and bottom! The chrome was mostly holding it in! That would explain the Smells getting in the car.
