Does anyone know whether any wheels off another car fit an SD1? Specifically I was thinking perhaps Jaguar wheels would...they did some lovely 16" cross-spokes on the XJ40, would looking stunning on an SD1....

I believe BMW 7 series ones will fit?, mind you depends if you want to have BMW parts on the last british rover!

You can get aftermarket ones to fit.

I have seen Porsche wheels fitted to an SD1, but they were only 15" and looked crap Crying or Very sad .
The Jensen Intercepter wheels will fit, 5 Spoke alloys, very nice from the series 4, also a few running round on wire wheels, but good luck getting a cheap set of any of these!
Jensen Intercepter Series 3 Wheels.

I have owned an XJ40 previously and a XJ8 now, none of these will fit the Rover.
Wheels for the SD1 are hard to come by. Image do some nice wheels that I have on my Christmas list. But at around £300 each Shocked I may have to wait a while Sad .

Thanks for the advice chaps, it's a gamble buying wheels, because if they don't suit the car, you're snookered. I've considered Compomotive CXNs as they are similar to Vitesse ones, but a bit deeper dished and look lovely, but they're very expensive, then there's the tyres to consider. Perhaps I will look at ~ahem~ Max Power magazine to see what wheel'n'tyre deals are going....Jay

New vittesse wheels from Rimmer Bros do look the business and are fat emough IMO...Even painted black spokes with silver rims look aftermarket...Best of luck finding aftermarkets...Billet wheels would work but would cost the price of a good SD1...

Have heard that Jeep wheels fit. The Jensen probably had chrysler hubs so that makes sense. Which means other Chrysler wheels might fit, at least for the pre-Mercedes ones.

If we are using Jag XJS Discs and Calipers, then why don't Jag Wheels fit? Surely for the wheel to go on Jag disc it has to have the same stud pattern?

The jag discs don't locate via the wheel studs. They locate onto the rear of the hub.
