And still at only £300 as well. I don't think E bay seems to be the place to sell SD1's. Better to stick to traditional methods of selling.

2600s will get rare as noones loves them at the moment, everyon wants a V8, and when there all gone people will want one lol. My mate had a 2600VDP auto and it was lovely and really reliable.

Nice clean looking car. If it went cheap, you could put a V8 into it.

Why bother? A nicely sorted 2600 is a lovely car in its own right, we all love our V8S me included, but the straight six engines are a bargain and can be a bit cheaper to run and easily as powerful as standard V8 if you know what do to them! Very Happy

Have you looked under the bonnet of one theres so room!

Yes i have as i used to own a 2300 back in 93. I was saying about V8,íng it as Gilberry was saying that it was a shame that it wasn´t a V8.

What can you DO to them.....? Otherwise ........

I wouldn`t mind using one to go for a six from a M5 or a skyline..or the northstar V8 or even a modern Audi V8....That is what I`d like to see...A merging of old and new...Sounds simple in theory only though...

I reckon diesel is the way to go for me..there's that much space under the bonnet that a 5.9 litre cummins straight six should fit. this is a truck engine and in a bodyshell so much lighter than what its built for economy and power should be very good!

Im told the 2600 when it was first developed was as powerful as a V8 carb at 155bhp so they detuned it, you could improve breathing, fit bentley turbo carb needles, k&n filters, a free flow exhaust and gasflow the head and i bet it would be as fast a V8
