I have posters etc but i´m not allowed to put them up. Something about minimalism! I bought Rita Sue and Bob too just because of the Rover in it. _________________ Drives a 4.6 300 BHP TP Vitesse! SD1 Club Member. Car of the Month Dec 06, winner of Car of the year 2007! |

Ah yes, the supposed same car was in the club mag a few years back, though it had materialised into a Vitesse at some stage!.
I don't know if the producers did a bit of plate swapping, but it sure wasn't a Vitesse in the film (it had a sort of 'tan' coloured interior too IIRC). I'm not even sure that it was even a 3-5. It seemed to sound more 6-pot to me, I could be wrong though.
I recorded it last time it was on tv, so I might have a spotters moment at some stage and try and determine exactly what it is! |

Lots of P6's too!
Not films exactly but...
What was that tv series in the eighties with Penelope Keith?. Saw a clip recently and I'm sure she was driving an SD1.
Oh, and I remember a nice Oporto red VDP in an episode of 'Howards Way' cruises up full of business types! |

Watch the god awful cannon and balls film "boys in blue" and theres lots and lots of Sd1 police cars, a 2000 automatic if i remember righly which apparetly they never made, mind you it would be bloody slow.
Also Clockwise with John Cleese theres half a dozen police sd1s. _________________ 1979 Rover SD1 V8-S

Was it To the Monor Born?
The thing about 80,s TV is that whenever they on location in a city, you will nearly always see an SD1, especially if the Police are in it. _________________ Drives a 4.6 300 BHP TP Vitesse! SD1 Club Member. Car of the Month Dec 06, winner of Car of the year 2007! |

I think it was a bit later than that one. Inbetween that and the one where she was a lawyer or something, driving a MG RV8.
Hang on, just done a search....it could have been 'Executive Stress' maybe.
Though it could also have been 'Moving' or 'Sweet Sixteen'.
Anyone remember those?, I don't! |

Wasnt to the manor born, im sad but i love that series, you just couldnt get away with that nowadays, the only cars in that were various rolls royces, a rangerover, mini pickup a landrover and a minimetro! _________________ 1979 Rover SD1 V8-S
