I've just acquired my dream, a 1983 Oporto Red 3500 Vanden Plas, but her wheels are a little grim and let her down quite badly. Anyone in the Hampshire area carry out (alloy) wheel refurbishment?

That's the ticket, just the sort of thing (and price) I'm looking for. A local enthusiast had some Vitesse alloys done, cost him £45 per wheel, but the Vitesse alloy is a pain to do, all those little diamond shapes, hopefully my simpler Series 2 14" alloys would be easier (i.e. cheaper?)

I had my VDP 14" alloys refurbished by 'Pristine'.
They did a fantastic job, colour matched the grey/blue and machined the outer rim edge as original.

They were about £50-odd each IIRC, but I'll check tonight.
Probably a better finish than new though.

They have 'agents' around the country that you can drop the wheels at for processing.

Added a new set of wheel centre badges from Rimmers and the car looks great. Very Happy

Yippee!!

At last I (should) get my refurbished alloys back this weekend (hopefully)

There is still an element of doubt, they've had them since October last year....

I'll be fitting 215/60 15 tyres for a slightly fatter look, the spoked centres will be in the body colour (Oporto Red) then I can post some long overdue piccies of my car.... Keep watching

Jay
