Backed my car out of the garage today to take it to work and noticed a stain on the garage floor in addition the the familiar oil stain..thought it was water at first until I smelt it and realised it was petrol!

It's always a bad start to the day when I can't drive my baby to work! Crying or Very sad

Anyway, investigated as best I could tonight and it only happens when the engine is running (so system pressurised?) and the leak occurs about where the rear passengers feat would be...feels like there's a rubber hose joining to a steel pipe in that vicinity. I say feels, because the car is too low to get underneath to look at! Laughing

fixed the fuel leak in the weekend with some help from my girlfriend Very Happy

Took it for a run and got the smile back on my face Very Happy , then went to change the oil and couldn't get the catch container under the car cos it's too low Rolling Eyes ... couldn't get the jack under the front either, same problem so not sure what would happen if I got a flat out on the road!

Oh well, might have to borrow the hoist at my girlfriends work to get the oil change done... good opportunity to have a good look around underneath Smile

They are quite low, even mine which isn't a Vitesse. Having access to a hoist sounds good though, must be better than rolling round on the garage floor. Here's hoping fuel prices fall further and the sun comes out more soon. Roll on summer

On my vitesse I use the tyre jack to lift the car just high enough to get my trolley jack under . Have to remember to put the tyre jack back in when finished underneath otherwise can't get jack out .

Just put a thick plank of wood in front of each front tyre and drive onto them to give the clearance for the trolley jack. I'm quite lucky and a gentle lift of the car front by the bumper is enough to slip the jack under the spoiler.

The showbiz pair cosied up and whispered in each other's ears while happily posing for pics at Myer's summer collections soiree in St Kilda as Hawkins's long-time beau, Jake Wall, stayed in Sydney to continue work on his first feature film, Cedar Boys.
