Hi all, my door seals are coming away, and I noticed that some doors are engaging with the seals diffferently.

On some, the 'sharp' edge sits inside the rubber, and on others, the edge squashes the rubber down nice and squarely.. then some are half and half! I prefer the second option!

Can anyone remember what theirs look like, and I'd also like to know a glue that will bond them securely to the plastic 'cuff' that attaches to the shell. hot glue isn't working at all!

Any advice appreciated!

I just used contact adhesive to stick mine back together - worked a treat

Contact adhesive sounds about right, I wouldn't bother with hot glue, it's crap!

Cyano Acrylate - superglue - works ok and even better if the parts are very slightly damp.

Halkyardo, have you any local suggestions for replacing the rubber strip in the door that seals between the glass and the door on the outside..sorry, that might not be very clear!

thanks Ramon, they have a great selection of bits don't they, but postage to New Zealand isn't exactly cheap Exclamation so I'm interested in whether or not there are local suppliers.

I haven't come across any myself, although mine are getting a bit sad so I'd be just as keen to know. Rodney Jaguar and Rover Spares

might be worth a go though. Although I know for a fact that they don't have any wing mirrors

Here's a place in Australia, a bit closer to us. Never used them myself. Maybe some of our Australian members could comment?
