You can use unleaded fuel in every V8 powered SD1. _________________ Owner of 3 Rovers and 1 MG.

Still use leaded in mine, with average octane rating of 99.7 RON the VDP Efi loves the stuff. |

Only if the wife's not looking over my shoulder, but it's just under £1.60 a litre!!!!
Good job I don't have to use a car everyday. |

That's 5* leaded? Wasn't that phased out in the 1970s? I remember my
dad having to mess with his P6 3500S to run on 4*. That must have been
prior to November 1977 when he replaced the 3500S with a 2600.
I know you can still find leaded in some places, but 5* leaded? Where does
that come from? Do you work in an oil refinery, perchance? |

It's produced by Bayford, they supply a small number a mainly independant garages. I'm lucky enough to have a couple within 5 min drive. Octane rating has actually gone down, when they first started selling it, it was over 100 RON. |

There's a couple of places that do 4 star in the Derby area, but I wouldn't go to them as it's stupidly expensive, £1.50+ a litre last time I checked, not worth the drive to the petrol station!!
I've used Castrol Valvemaster in all of my cars, puts the octane rating up a little bit to boost performance.... _________________ Auto Vitesse, gonna be a beast! |
