Am getting another alternator tomorrow atthe Spares Day, as I'm pretty certain mine is knackered. But I'm just a tad worried about the connectors on the back of it!
There are two studs on the alternator, with the three wires ending in ring terminals & held on the studs with nuts. Is this normal for a Vitesse alternator? Or should it have the terminal block on the wires like most other alternators I've seen??

I think that's normal Smile Certainly all the later Rovers use ring terminals on studs secured with nuts. If I'm with the car tomorrow I'll have closer look...

Oh that's ok then! I think I need another one though, the alternator on my car doesn't seem to be charging the battery....
Will be on the lookout tomorrow....
