I cant help but say what I am going to. I have had a Rover 3500 SD1 since 1985, I just love the car. I have driven about 5 of them and scrapped about 20. The last one I ownrd was a 2 litre which we converted to a V8 etc etc. The last mod was a four speed auto. The problem I cant understand is why cant people realise it is a car that needs to be driven. This year I have a gas converted VDP and I find it amusing when people keep staring at it. Whycant people just understand its a beautiful car to drive or even just to sit in with the engine running.

I've got two,one for everyday (the 2300)and the other in for work (the Vitesse)...Its funny you should ask though, this weekend the family and I went for a meal,I decided to have a drink and my wife drove back(for the first time driving an SD1)she couldn't get over how nice it was to drive.Looks like I may need to get another and sell her Mondeo Ghia X.

Yep Very Happy
For me a car is not a car unless it's driven, and not at walking pace to the shops but driven like a regular car and enjoyed Wink
I still keep 'em tidy, don't get me wrong, and fix it when broke but I must have fun in 'em Cool
