I know this is a bit off topic as this is an SD1 forum, but my friend has asked me to ask if anybody is interested in his XJ12
It's a 1982 XJ12, with 73k genuine miles on the clock, with a new stainless steel exhaust, new brakes, in very good condition for year, and with plenty of history
Offers in the region of £2000

I used to run one of these, blooming lovely cars, it was the HE model so I could achieve 15mpg instead of 12... I even remember the reg number, it was CPB 191Y a blue one just like this with blue leather interior.

I swapped a 1972 Triumph Stag (YFJ 809K) for it (the Stag had a Rover V8 of course!) and when driving home in the Jag I had to keep looking at the rev counter to ensure myself it had not stalled, so silent they are, but press that pedal and OMG, the engine is still quiet, but roars discretely and your heading towards that horizon at an alarming rate, burning petrol without bothering to vapourise it first.

Everyone must experience a Jag V12 before they die....

Highly recommended motoring experience

Indeed I've driven the 3rd series XJ12, XJ81 (XJ40 V12) and the new X300 V12... All I can say is that the XJ81 was fun fun...
