Hello all!

Im currently restoring a 3500Se and while i was looking for parts i came across this beauty that i just had to buy

Its going to be alot easier to fix my other car now that i have a lifesize model right next to it!

When i went to have a look at it, i didnt even know it had a sunroof! so thats an extra!

thoughts?

Very nice,I like that. Very Happy
Normally I'm more of a manual 'box type of guy but that looks so clean I'd need to think twice, she carb or injection? Can you give us a pic of the engine bay?

All Aussie-spec cars were fuel-injected from about 1979 or 1980. This included series 1 cars. It's the Federal-spec injection, with low compression V8 and flat-top TR8-type plenum. The Aussie cars had (I think) the emission control air-injection and EGR systems, but not the catalytic converters with lambda feedback, of the US cars.

Nice car by the way Cool

Very nice. I have an 84 3500SE in Arum, it is a nice colour. It's nice to see a VDP is such good condition in Australia as each one I have seen seem to fair worse than any other model. I had heard the leather used for the trim if not treated well would just degrade in the harsh Australian climate.

The "Other" Rover

I removed the headlight to do some panel work. I also removed what was left of the indicator, which wasnt much. The indicator slot was all twisted and ive gotten it back to where it looks somewhat like what it should.

[you can see the jag in this one =D)
This is actually waay better when i got it, it had a huge dent in bottom LH wing which i have now cut out and put back into shape- and the wing was all twisted to the point were it was touching the wheel, but not anymore.

The front bumper is in pieces and i have something like a small front spoiler that is in ok condition.

Cats seem to always get in the way!
You can see here where i had to cut out the dent, im thinking either i could fibreglass it, weld more metal on, just leave it and see if the bumper covers it or i have found a guy with a wing he wants to get rid of...

Under the hood:

Sorry for the slightly large photos, i thought maybe you guys might want a good look.

One other proble with this car, the bonnet doesnt sit flush with the body when its closed. what do you think may be causing this? maybe its because the wing was so twisted in the first place it just doesnt want to go? or i was thinking it could be the catch that isnt sitting right in the middle?

Thanks for looking!
