Just to let you know that I have now bought the V8-S from Nottingham. I should be collecting on 19th May.

probably not- I have another car to do first- one that I will be able to insure while I am at uni.

I am working until the end of June, too. I will probably try to get it working and MOTd before September, though- be good if it could be used occasionaly, even if only by my Dad.

Anyone got an engine going cheep?

Thank goodness for that....

Many huge sighs of relief from all corners of this forum.

Had the car been local to me, I'd have done the same.

Good luck with it

Great news you have the car. Are you planning to keep it under cover?
First job would be to get the car waterproof so the interior doesn't
get damaged - as that'd be impossible to replace, especially as it's
'teddy bear' V8-S. You'll need the electric windows working Smile

From the pics, the car looked pretty tidy so bodywork should be
easy - though SD1s rust just by looking at them!

Keep the story updated.

It should be undercover within a fortnight or so of collecting it. Planning to go and have a poke round next weekend, see if I can get the windows shut etc.

That would be brilliant. I will arrange something a little later in the week- it all hinges on how my car is behaving, really.

That makes your car more exclusive and sought after.I would be proud to own a V8-s.It's the only MK1 I'd own.
