Just wondering can i fit 2 litre rev counter in my v8 vanden plas??
If my speedo is broken, then i order cheap rimmer speedo/rev counter unit..
Of course i can change those rev counters.., but my v8 rev counter redline starts 5000rpm.. and i want it to 5500 or more.. Its not a diesel engine

a 4-cylinder rev counter is no good for an 8 cylinder engine.

However, it's a Smiths, so internally may be identical to their aftermarket items. Open one up to see if there's a connection of some sort that can be made to turn it into an 8 cylinder one.
