The tailgate on my Vitesse has always sat a bit skewed with uneven gaps. I've
changed the seal and now it's far worse and only closes with a heavy bang
as it's so skewed the tailgate latch doesn't hit the bodywork latch straight.

Any hints how to adjust the tailgate - presumably I do this just by releasing
the four bolts into the tailgate from the hinges? The tail gate will then float
on captive nuts??

It's got to be worth a go. Damn heavy though, and surprisingly bendy...
