Between now and show season.
Mine are to get my Wheels sorted after spoiling the laquer. Get all my stereo gear in. MOT in April Rolling Eyes Couple of little rust patches that have developed over Winter need taking car of, New cloth re-trimming the rear pillars, new parcel shelf, fitting replacement switches for the ones that have packed up, fixing and re-spraying the front spoilerand putting on my new Astrali steering wheel when it arrives. This should look better than the Grey Mountney that is on there at the moment. Oh yes and sort out the idle problem!

julian, all those switches come apart quite easily, i did them all on a previous car, when you take them apart there is a spring, so watch it doesn't fly away. when it is apart just scrape the contact patches with a screw driver or small file. i can't remember exactly how they come apart but i wasn't difficult.

No, Ian you mis-understand the Switch really has stopped working it does not stay clicked in for the Heated rear window and the Rear wiper is up the spout. I have replacement switches for both plus a new rear wiper motor incase it is that.

Got my new Black Astrali Steering wheel on, looks more in touch with the Cars age than a Mountney one which looks a bit Mini/MGB etc. It is about 1 inch smaller in diameter than the Mountney too.

My two main goals are to get some decent door trim panels made up by a motor trimmer - mine are the standard Series 1 type with the chrome surround ashtrays. I don't like the Series 2 type either, so I think I'll design my own and get the trimmer to create them.

The other goal is to get the car resprayed - it's still in it's original 1978 colours (except for the fibreglass panels that I've added). No rust and for '70s BL the paint has worn well in the hot climatic conditions we have here. Two pack seems the way to go, Pendellican White (original Rover/Jaguar colour).

The alloys are running LowProfile slicks ATM though are 275..wide at the back and 235 at the front ...16 inch diameter ..so I`ve not used `em yet unless I will go on the track ... I was chasing nice big`uns running road rubber a few months back on e bay..3 spoke with split rims..which went for just over £70..! Shocked Embarassed I`ve never forgiven myself for not winning the auction.
..Although the reaction when their fitted on while the car while it sits on the street is highly amusing..cars driving by stop and stare/ crowds gather... Very Happy

B Reg Gold 2600S..Awaiting brakes and gearbox repair..needs lowered
E Reg Ivory 3500SE..Needs started...mm (auto) and Mot (brakes pins and anti rattle shiels corrod so quickly..)

Getthe refurbed alloys on, get a sidedstripe to match the one that came off, fit a new rear lamp and sort the electrics and pas pump.

I need to fix everything. Very little on or in the car works.

Biggest problem will be the body, I think I'll change the colour from silver to black Very Happy

These are the plans for the 2300. No way is it going to be ready for show season.

Weld at least one inner sill, possibly both.
Weld up the tiny hole in the offside front shock mount
Replace knackered rubber brake lines with braided ones
Recondition front calipers
Replace rear brake cylinders
Replace front pads
Replace rear shoes
Replace water temp sensor, preferably without having to remove manifold or dizzy to get a spanner on it - any clues?
Replace ECU if that doesn't work
Respray Vitesse alloys and get some tyres for them,
Fit said wheels and tyres.
Fit rear arch spats
Replace cloth on D pillars
Somehow make the central locking work properly
Wash the car
Polish the car
Drive the car
