F.M. are you going down from Scotland (you may remember me I followed you one day in Paisley a couple of years ago when you had your cream left hooker).
There are a few of us going (me , Jim Laing, Graeme Ross, Ian Galbraith and a couple of others) if you fancy it ?? |

That's only a few hours from me, and as a new SD1 owner I'd definately be interested in coming along to join the fun!!
What's actually happening on the day? I can't seem to find much information about it. |

There is a pretty good turnout of SD1s, with a few invited 'guest' SD1s - last year it was
a pair of Bastos touring cars and the final-build road-going SD1 (silver Vitesse).
Then there is judging. This was once open to all, but last year it was 'invite only' which
was a little odd. But there was also a members judging of any entered car - so you turned
up in your gleaming SD1 and let fellow members judge your car. This year there is 'best
restored' judging - not seen the criteria for this, but I believe you'll have to have
photographic records of the work and have had panels replaced. I can't enter my Vitesse
as it's original panels.
Around lunchtime, there is a drive around the local area which is pretty popular (I must do
that this year). |

I did that last year, it's good fun. Lot's of people at the roadside stopping and staring as a convoy of SD1's cruised by.
Though I was in the group that somehow took a wrong turn and split from the convoy, still, we then had a little tour of our own!
I kept up nicely with an accelerating yellow 3.9i SD1 too, so my rolling road fiqure of 220bhp can't be far off! |

I think you succeeded too Tim, made nearly as much noise as both the Bastos cars!
Sounded awesome though. |

Count me in as a confirmed also. Looks like quite a good venue, somewhere to get rid of the wife and kids whilst I look at the cars!
See you there. _________________ If you're goin' to mod it, start with something worth moddin'. |
