Hey there, im looking to buy a Twin Plenum(If possible one of the homologation specials) SD1.

There is a few things i want to make crystal clear(Don't fret Laughing )

1.The car would have to be Targa Red.But depending on the colour i might change my mind.

2.I would prefer a manual.

3.I am not ready to come to England for another month(Due to work and commitments)around June. But once i agree i WILL buy it.

4.The car should be structually sound, and not be a pup.

And finally It has to be MOT'ed and taxed

I would appericiate some pictures sent to

All twin-throttle plenums are 'homologation' cars, you just need to
get a genuine TP. I don't think anyone knows exactly how many
TPs were made and there is no way of telling from the VIN. However,
from data collated you'll find 1986 build Vitesses (VIN will tell you if
it's a Vitesse) were TPs from new - late 'C' British registrations, all
'D' and 'E' plate.

Targa red seems the most well represented colour - there were SIX
targa red cars at the recent spares day! This should give you the
best chance of finding a good one - but Vitesse suits any colour.

All TPs are manual - auto option on Vitesses was deleted when the
(auto only) VDP EFi became available in 1984.

You should be able to find a decent TP, there are enough around.
Expect to pay at least £3k for a good one, and even then you may
have bodywork and/or mechanicals to sort out.

What about the black car in Northern Ireland? That looked OK??

Good luck!

Hi Keresone,
Black TP now running ......starter motor was the culprit , as suspected.
Once the car was driven, clutch was slipping........this has now been replaced and the car runs very well, and stops well to boot.
I have now decided to MOT the car , before it will be SOLD, so it look like this one will be spared. It would have been a shame to break this particular car.

1.The car would have to be Targa Red.But depending on the colour i might change my mind.

Don't mean to be controversial but I've always favoured the silver Vitesses and especially the twin plenums (which is why I was keen to get my hands on C306 HRO, now in the hands of a merciless SD1 breaker...)

The silver gives the car a sporty look, but not so aggressively in your face as red, although my first Vitesse A103 RCR was red in special order automatic.

The blue is nice too, very classy, oh and black and white.....

I'd take a Vitesse/Vanden Plas Efi in any colour if the car was good x

Hi Kerosene,
Car not sold, we only changed the clutch a couple of days ago, and haven't advertised anywhere else. Plan was to MOT it before offering it for sale locally.
But I'm open to offers for the car as it is.
