How are you ever going to get traction with such an engine inside an SD1. Thats like asking for a set of 285 wide tyres.

Thats fuc... good guestion.. Shocked
I run now 235/45-17 rear tyres + quaife LSD + Koni adjustable shock + poly push.
And 1 gear is unnecessary if i want to play sometimes.. 2nd gear i have got plenty of ("too mutch if want to play") grip in road.. Ever got a grip proplem in 2 gear dry weather..
In wet road conditions i have too mutch grip proplem, even 3-4 gear.. Laughing
I´m planning to buy 245-45-17 tyres in future.. Very Happy
But maybe 5500cc engine need those 285 tyres.. Laughing

Just fit some performance parts in my engine.. New Accel +310cc injectors + siamesed twinplenum system.. Very Happy + 2 large K&N air filters.. also older model painted rocker covers..

I´cant say yet any performance joining, because i have to reprogram ECU agin.. But i think throttle response is slightly better/agressive than single 72mm plenum..
And engine don´t say anymore moo-moo when i press quickly gas pedal on the floor.. (thanks to bigger injectors i think?) Also inlet noise in full throttle is better sounding..
Hmmm performance.. Laughing

DAAMN.. Better wish that MOT guy still will believe its "slightly tuned". That intake just looks so violent... cant even imagine the intake roar you get with 2x cone filters of that size.

of course..

Have you seen this..

Front disks are from Bmw 535i E34 (1989 year). Those are 302X22mm..
Drilled to suit sd1 hup.. + adaptor plate to caliber..
(Bmw 540i E34 has got 302x28mm)

Rear disks are from Mercedes Benz, not sure if it was C-class? 290x10mm.

The rear adaptor plate is made from 10mm steel plate.. (i thin you can use alloy 10mm plate also?)

I can get some better pick from this rear adaptor plate, if you want? And also i can mark all measurement what you need to do this, to suit this plate to sd1 axle.. But this setup is only for 260x10mm rear disks.. (rover 800 discks). Bigger disk setup is your own design.. Laughing
I bolt only a 10mm extra steel plate (and drill couple of holes more) to this adaptor plate to suit 290mm disk.

Rear adaptor kit yes, but it is only a 260mm disk..
Front kit is too laborious.. Laughing
Easier to use jag calibers and disk, but they are 295mm i think? Ask those for 5000SE in this forum?

Only problem is that i live in FINLAND.. Shocked
TNT or post office can freight those adapters but price would be a tricky? They weight about 2-2,5Kg?
And also transference money would be tricky..?

I do and sell one rear adaptor plates to Lehto, i charge him to about 35£/pair inc Finnish carriage.
Price is same ~30£ to you + carriage, but carriage and money transfer would be a biggest proplem.

I´ll try to drav some pictures some day in this week when i have got more time..

edit:

But i you want to buy all chargers and you trust me.. You can send my bank account to about 50£ money. I can do the adapters.. + then i can send them to you.

More than happy to trust you, I can speak to my banker and ask about how best to transfer the money to a Finnish account.
