I'm tempted so much I asked the questions that are on the eBay page now....
Shame it's so far from me and a short auction. I'd really need to see this to see
what I'm letting myself in for.
From the VIN supplied, it's a genuine manual and built June 1976.
Does anyone know of an earlier car still surviving? |

This went for an almost criminal £420. I just hope it doesn't get
scrapped for the interior (which was the fate of the Top Gear
gold one which Richard Hammond drove so I've been led to
believe).
I answered my own question about earlier SD1's at the spares
day last Sunday - a month earlier registration July 1976 on a
'P' plate was there, said to be the oldest on the road - I understand
one of the prototypes/pre-production exists somewhere and
there is the estate in the Gaydon museum on a 'P' plate. |
