May give it a go, as mines just the 155bhp carb engine I doubt it would make much difference but wil try it out.

When I got my vdp efi I was told that the later v8s happily take unleaded and that around town I could get away with normal unleaded whereas on a run or using the power to go for super unleaded . Must admit just put super unleaded in but don't do many miles anyway (none at moment until shes back on the road) .

I got 300 miles to the Tank this weekend with Tesco 99 from Norwich at 91.9 a litre. If i hadn't have buggered about around Northampton (peer pressure! Embarassed ) i would have got home with fuel to spare. As it was i had to put £20 in Thetford so as i didn't have to mess around running on fumes to the nearest petrol station, which depending on the time of day can be 10 miles away. This is funny though, i Filled up in Norwich which is about 20 miles from here on Friday, came down the A11 back home to test the car. The Saturday i drove to Northampton. She did this on just over a quarter of a tank! I think you'll agree that this is good by any cars standard, never mind a big old 4.6. She then got rid of over a quarter of a tank going around Northampton and going to Billing and back to Northampton the next day. Oh well i didn't buy her for economy! I bought her to have fun! Cool
