Well my new Sd1 is home and safe and sound, we collected it on the back of my mates car trailer for the pricely sum of £50 including the tow home!
Today ive just tinkered and washed and polished it and MY GOD its unbelieveable, (shame the engines seized) the guy who owned it before me spent £3500 on a complete respray and new panels 9 years ago then as he couldnt drive (weird I know) put it in his garage and left it there. Its sat oustide for 6 months when he lost his storage and the bottom corner of one door has a small bubble and theres some paint blisters on one wing and THATS it!
Pictures to follow when it stops raining! _________________ 1979 Rover SD1 V8-S

To try and keep the costs down im going to try and deseize it in situ, poor diesel down the bores and leave it for a couple of weeks whilst i smarten the car up (valet the interior etc) then get it timed up put a new cambelt on try and turn the engine by hand! Wish me luck.
If anyone has any VDP alloys (two tone) cheap let me know as this has steels and trims which look nice but the tyres are perished with standing so may aswell swop them. _________________ 1979 Rover SD1 V8-S

Nice one Tim, she looks fantastic!
I've always liked Cashmere Gold, very classy.
I'll bet the engine will come good in the end too. |

And I was just thinking that those trims look rather smart all polished and shiny! |
