Yea I've been thinking of going the 4.6L way first. And after I get bored of the car not going fast enough im going to seek more power... FROM THE DARK SIDE!!! *aa shut up inner darth vader!!*

Damn... engine came out little bit too easily. No torn knucles... no broken skin. TOO EASY!! 200 was really pain in my behind when I messed 5 hours about to get that damn tiny starter motor (read k-series 1.4L) out from the crammed engine space.

Good old jack... it still works Confused

Never thought these alloys were going to be any use... but they served as chassis stands once again.

Oh dear... the 7.0L DOHC V12 has gone missing (or atleast theres space for it)

Hmm.. this part still looks straight and good.

Holy f**k... its a V8! I just had to take a pic of it.

The front axle is half way unbolted out.. didnt take any pics of it because there isnt much to see. Its basically covered in 1" of some mix of sand, stones and rust preventing mass. Have to take it out tomorrow Smile

Anybody know of a good place to order stiff polyurethane bushings from?

All my front and rear axle parts came from sandblasting and painting today! Couldnt believe they still were SD1 parts because they were so shiny and no rust anywhere CoolCool
Sorry mobilephone pics again...

Never ported anything. Well its time to learn on something! What a perfect target... SU carburators intake manifold! Who would miss that old crap anyways if I fook it up...
This is how it used to look like (taken from another port)

This is how its now

Not a major improvement but "almost gasket matched" Very Happy

Crap.... it just started raining like crazy when i was cleaning my new tailgate outside. Well no harm done...

Rained like crazy!

New 4.6 engines cost crap load of money IIRC. Used one will do just fine for my uses as long as the block isnt cracked. But getting one of those engines isnt my main concern just yet... I still havent even managed to put the car on axles. I need a full set of SD1 bushings because my old ones were in pretty nasty shape due to ageing and rimmers polybush kit doesnt seem to have everything so I need some rubber ones unless I start machining my own Very Happy. I also need a good R380 gearbox. My uncle said PTP offered those to him few years ago... new 4.6 longblock for 900£ and R380 was like 300£.

Today the bodyshell and all panels have been painted with first coat of aluminum primer.
(thats my dad painting... he thought he was better in painting so he wanted to do it.) Tomorrow he will apply some epoxy primer on it.

Hope your done with welding already... It shouldnt take THIS long haha Razz

Well anyways... last 2 days have gone to finishing the details of the car. Sanding every panel from outside to good finish (atleast i hope it is Very Happy) and using car putty to smoothen the dings I could find (spent 30minutes searching). The rear panel where reg plate goes was especially bad... seems its pretty fletchy panel which will deform and shift its shape overtime no matter what so had to use a lot of putty there to make it all smooth again. No pics available at this time... photobucket seems to be in somekind of maintenance.

Its a complete long block or just short block? I might be interested... only bad thing is that freight can get quite expensive. I suppose there isnt much to loose by asking... if its cheap enough then im sure the freight wont be a problem.

Here are the pics of the places where some bodyfiller needed to be applied to. Yea I know boring and all... but just for some people who enjoy watching pics they can see it now.

Here my fathers again painting the car... this time BLACK CoolCoolCool

Here its all black.. the surface finish wasnt as good as my father thought he will be with that paint so it was time to sand it down. The black paint went "orange" and it just had to be sanded smooth so when the surface black will be painted it will be nice and smooth.

God its been like eternity since i last updated the topic. Anyways there been some progress which I have just forgotten to take pics of because it hasnt been much to show... like 95% of the wiring is in place and throttle pedal Very Happy

Today me and my dad went to my grandpas garage to use his old metal lathe to machine the driveshafts smaller and the "center hole" of the disc brakes to correct size. The picture quality sucks again.

Heres 2 random pics.
