As bought, the bonnet was hand painted, I stripper one half to see what was under the black gloss, good bonnet under Very Happy

Then it was time to strip it down and see what I let myself in for Smile
Off with the bonnet

Headlights and bumper off!

Damage could then bee seen on the front panel Sad

A blow over with undercoat makes it clear.....

All wheel arches are like this Shocked what arches Exclamation no problem though Very Happy

Out with the back lights and off with the bumper........

Out with the seats and trim.........

Rear glass and hatch off.........

This view shows the now empty car.........

The new doors are stripped.
Before

After

Well thats it till I'm home again, all the seats and trim is now out, as is the glass............saved you boys a nice shot of the V8 Wink

Cheers Buddy Smile
Yeah the arches are bad, as are the rear of the outer sills, but they have rotted right, from the rear inwards,as they should with the heated sills.
The inner sills are totaly rot free as is th rest of the underside.
I wanted one as rotten as I could find that would restore, I found this one was ideal, It has a history, which is why it was kept by one owner and not scrapped, after 2 years of trying to buy it another guy took it on, but then moved to Island so sold it to me.
I bought the car from Doncaster and cost me more to recover than the car Shocked
But its what I wanted,I bought the silver one so I could remember how to put this one back together Wink

Thanks Tim Very Happy
I like the S1 more than the S2, I'm after a back panel and a auto gear lever at the mo.
Will have to get a rear hatch at some point, will have to be a S1 one though, don't fancy a S2 tail gate sat on the back.
