I think this will be a must see for most SD1 owners especially the local ones! Classic Touring Cars comes to Snetterton on the 23 & 24th of September.

Yep - will be there, and racing in the production BMW championship and the pre-93 touring cars. Not in a Rover, I'm afraid, but an E30 320i BMW.
You will see several SD1s racing. Tim Scott Andrew races a Vitesse in pre-93. It has 300bhp allegedly, but the 320is (with a whole 130bhp) are miles faster - can't quite understand why...
Maybe he only uses half throttle? |

Huggy, very kind of you to offer - thanks!!
I have a straight talking yorkshireman called Barney to do the spannering and hopefully won't need bodywork - fingers crossed needed a front wing and a bit of panel beating after Brands though...
If interested, I might be able to get you car parking in the paddock and free entry as all this sort of guff comes with the entry fee... |
