I much prefer the look of the original wheel - None of the aftermarket ones look in keeping with the interior.
I wonder if the Land Rover/ Range Rover wheel (the one that looks very similar but is actually round) would fit?

For some non uk markets the offered a 3 spoke round leather bound wheel with the rover emblem in the middle, there VERY rare but do look good as a chnage for a quartic one! _________________ 1979 Rover SD1 V8-S

I certainly cant live with the original steering wheel as it is just too big and rubs off my legs. It is better for originality purposes but I think you get a better feel for the car with a smaller wheel when driving.
Below are a couple of pictures of my cars past and present as alternatives to the original which I hope may help anybody who is looking for an alternative:

Both rims are grey in colour which matches the surrounding dash colour. When I first saw the colour I wasnt convinced but through time grew to prefer it. So much so I had to find one for the new car and I prefer the new car design. Both are also 13"
Let me know what you think yourselves...... |

That looks a little like the North American Spec wheel, from memory. I've been scouring Ebay for one for a while, as well as an immaculate orginal Vitesse item to replace my worn one.

NAS steering wheel is quite memorable, and very rare! You can see
pics of it on this recent eBay of a NAS car:

Or this current NAS car that's been through Pimp My Ride (nasty!):

Forget about it if you have a Vitesse though, interior on NAS cars was
only ever bronze or beige with nutmeg seats. No grey.... |
