Hi all,

Anyone ever had this problem? If I rest my hand on the gear lever or tug at it while shifting - any slight downward motion - it makes contact with the mainshaft. How do you get enough space in there?

My car is a P6B, formerly auto. Any input appreciated.

Edit: It also has a juddery clutch. Can a misaligned drive train from the conversion job (ca. 1990) cause either or both symptoms??
