I never spotted the later Rover grill on it before! Looks like a 200 one...

Edit: on closer inspection I'm pretty sure it's an 800 grill.

Those cossie style bonnet vents look good but rest of the car makes me want to puke all over the table.

I take it that wasn't the owner in the pics. Somehow I expect him to wear bright colours Wink

dunno about that one, looks dangerously like rice to me - spoiler on the roof, multiple guages (is that 2 rev counters?), little lights on the rear bumper....

Fitting a 800 grill on an SD1 is like buying the Mona Lisa and then adding a mustache with a spray can....Very....very nasty and cheap. Crying or Very sad

I sincerely doubt the owner would be afraid that a non-original grill might make the car look tacky Wink

And not to forget... Ive always hated the grill on mk2 800 series. Btw... the grill on the car looks more like the 400 one.

Another beautiful, tasteful example of enhancing the natural lines of the SD1, including an 800 Series grille.
I saw this car in the flesh once - it looked much, much worse close up than in this picture.

Some of you other late 30-something pluses may remember this was quite a popular "mod" on SD1s some years ago, thankfully I never took up the trend.... Shocked
