hello there,

I'm Romain, a French 21 y-o boy and I got a rover SD1 2600 built in 1979 last week. It has not been running since 1987. I would like to fix it and keep it to drive a little on week ends or to tow other cars. There isn't a lot of work to do.

I tried to start it up by putting some gas in the two carburetors and it worked verry well, but once there isn't gas any more in them she stop. I have changed every gas flexibles but the gas circuit doesn't initiate. I think the gas pump must be dirty and plugged.

the other problem comes to the front left brake stirrup on whitch I have broken the drainage screw.

I will be very happy to get some advices and help. I'm looking for a front left brake stirrup and a silencer (mine has a big hole in t so it'sa little noisy)

see u

Romain

PS: I'm sorry if my english is a little poor...

well this is a SD1, but she has been kept in a place safe from wet for a long time so she looks pretty good exept from brakes and gas circuit.

I'll try to make some photos these days

Welcome to SD1 ownership!

How many SD1s do you see in France? They are rare enough here!
Having said that, they did sell modest numbers in France (for a
foreign-built car!) and come up on eBay France fairly regularly.
