Hey Chris, firstly,im no expert on this,i can only tell you what happened on mine.My car was level until 1 of the self levellers went, like most people i replaced the rears with standard springs and shocks, car was still leaning,so we swapped them round, car was still leaning, same side,so i decided to get all new front and back springs and shocks, thinking that there was clearly a problem with the old fronts or the NEW rears, guess what, still leaning, about that time i got some advice of Ramon about what it could be(tightening bolts off the jacks, checking the arms etc,all to no avail)we got the car over an mot pit to see how the car was sitting, all the springs were the same length, linkage was how it should be and working,so with the measuring tape out,we measured the hight between where the rear springs sit and the ground, for this to work you need to jack the rear of the car up so its level, and that was where the difference was, this is something which wouldn't show up with self levellers because they self level.now this could be because of a smash, and the car has been repaired, but we couldn't find crash damage, its all straight and origional,so it could only be down to an imperfection when the car was made,i dont think Ramon agrees with this but after a lot of investigation this is the only conclusion we could come to,and i have spoken to others who have had the same problem.sound drastic?its not really,i had vitesse ride height springs on anyway,so i just had a spacer made up,mild steel and coated for £60,car now looks great,is level, and handles superb. You need to do the checks Ramon suggested first,a case of trial and error, having spacers made up should be a last resort, cheers,Gav.
