Can't seem to get the courtesy lights to go off after closing the doors, thought it might be the delay relay to blame, can anybody shed light on this? (pardon the pun!!)

I had a similar problem and it was one of the light units in the B pillar earthing out to the body work, I put some insulating tape round it and voila!

Have temp fixed it. Was the delay relay that was causing the problem, think it's pooped! taken it out now, will see if I can get another at the spares day this weekend, the list keeps getting longer!!
