Hi

I think the time has come to change my spark plugs.

What brand and part number do you recommend?

To recap, my car is a bog-standard 1983 stromberg carb-fed V8 Series 2

I'd like good performance at a budget please, oh and I'd like my bread buttered on both sides, and I really would like to have my cake and eat it.

Jay

I've never had much luck with NGKs or Bosch (German parts in a British car?).
On the other hand Champions have always worked well (my last car required racing plugs and these were the only make to last over a couple of months or hard use). I belive that a carb fed V8 should use RN12YCC plugs? correct me if I'm wrong people. Can't see you going wrong with a set of these.

Thought I'd mention once used a set of Bosch super 4s car wouldn't start at all, took them out put old Motocraft back in, drove perfect.

Same engine as mine.I put Unipart in.No problems.Perfectly pre-gapped.Could you put Uridium spark plugs in? suppose to give a bigger spark/better performance. They are pricey however.

6 were expensive enough when i had my Skyline! Shocked Never mind 8 of them! I donīt know if they would be of any benefit to the rover anyway.
