Hi there,
I have a box of indicators in my lockup. No good to me as I have no indicators. I will dig them out next time I'm over there and see if any of them are the clear style.
Cheers

I'm looking for Series 2 Clear indicator lenses, just like on Julian's Car of the year Car. |

Yes! Just take the orange filter out. Mine are series 1 as well. I managed to find 2 brand new ones. _________________ Drives a 4.6 300 BHP TP Vitesse! SD1 Club Member. Car of the Month Dec 06, winner of Car of the year 2007! |

For clear side indicators you could use MG ZR ones? I tested my ZR ones in there and they fit into the holes. _________________ Owner of 3 Rovers and 1 MG.

Is it only the Series 1's that had the filter? |

Yep, you take the lens off and its clear, fit that and put some orange bulbs in
I have some that I will swap for a S2 set, if anyone wants some, I need them complete to fit to my S2. _________________ Keep smiling |

my series one has just the clear lenses. inside the lens the white body of the indicator unit is covered in kitchen foil (you know, the silver stuff you wrap the turkey in). not sure if this is supposed to reflect the light out or what, i've never compared it to another 'clear' sd1. does anybody else have this? _________________ rover sd1 club member 4311

Hi All, thanks for all the replies, haven't been able to get on line for a couple of days due to work. I am going up to the National Day but wont be able to take the vitesse as it has been in the bodyshop having front wings, new doors, tailgate and a tart up for the last 6 months, (quoted 2 months max) GUTTED. So make my way up there in something else.
Will have a look out for MG side indicators next time I am in the car park walking the dog! :) |
